"Choices" is a fine choice if you like to read books that are difficult to put down. "Write what you know" is one of the first lessons learned by good writers. John House, a novelist as well as a physician, knows his stuff. Although Choices may get a bit technical from time to time, it does so only when necessary to further the plot, yet another first lesson learned by good writers.The question that any reader of this book will ask himself is, "What choice would I make if I were in Majorsky's shoes?"
"Choices" follows House's first suspense novel, "So Shall You Reap," which is again, a hard book to put down while at the same time, one you don't want to end.
I look forward to reading House's latest book, "Trail of Deceit" which I know will be as good or better than his other two books.

Well written, action backed novel. Dr. House's newest book keeps you guessing as to what will happen next and makes you want to keep reading until the end.
You expect an author's second novel to be better than his first, but John House has taken his writing to a whole new level. This story is gripping and totally unpredictable. The characters are well-drawn and belivable. The villian is totally evil, yet somehow arouses some sympathy. The doctor hero is a "keeper." I hope to read about him again in the future.
John House is a practicing MD, and his years of medical training and experience are apparent in his vivid descriptions of gunshot wounds, mortal injuries and medical procedures. I predict this second career as a novelist will be successful.
I'm not usually a mystery fan but I can tell you that I have never read a better written book that had all the things I look for when choosing a novel. I was hooked from the first sentence and didn't want to put it down! The characters were well developed and relatable. There was good and evil, bad guys and cops, love and hate, and it was all entertwined to keep you on the edge of your seat anticipating what was going to happen next! Dr John House is a writer to watch. I can't wait to see what's next!

This was an amazing book that gives the reader tremendous insight into the human nature of both the "good" people as well as those who do evil. A fascinating read for anyone.
Great summer read lots of great references to towns I know in the south. I finished the book with a smile on my face.
Hard to stop reading. Very exciting. Wonder what is going to happen next. Obvious John is very familiar with medicine.
