Lacey Travis has wanted Shayne Hutchinson since she was 15, when they first met at the beach and she was just a blip on his radar. As adults, they finally begin dating. What Lacey thinks is a serious relationship isn’t how Shayne perceives it. He’s been seeing other women the whole time. After lies are exposed, Lacey has no choice but sever their romance. She’s torn and seeks comfort with her friends, Sky and Ford, spending every weekend hanging out with the perfect couple, wishing she could have just a taste of what something so amazing feels like.
When Ford’s cousin Joey, the practicing womanizer, moves into the apartment next to them, he’s determined to get Lacey into his bed. The more she fights Joey, the harder he is to resist. Resolved to steer clear of the heartbreaker, Lacey falls victim to more of Shayne’s doings and lands right into Joey’s accepting arms. Then Shayne finds out that Lacey’s moved on. He becomes overwhelmed with trying to win her back, before she falls for that one person that he’s certain will break her heart even worse than he’s already done.
As Lacey fights her feelings for both of these men, she realizes that a choice must be made. With her heart on the line, she’s determined to find happiness. Will she choose the one who will give her that taste of perfection she’s been looking for?

First I want to say that I am HUGE fan of Jennifer Foor and I have never given her less then a four star review and I really could decide if I should give this one a 2 or a 3 so I will go with 2.5 - WARNING - This review may have some spoliers. First, Lacey got on my nerves almost right away, I mean she created so much drama for herself and cried through the entire book. I was over her character fairly quickly. Joey I was a big fan of from the start and I was hoping she would end up with him so I was glad for that, but really? You flew across the world for this dude and left him 24 hours later...wtf? Lastly, my favorite part of this entire story was Shayne. I love him and I love that he Ashley ended up falling for one another, but what is happening with them???? I was left so in the dark with them and I want their story so I hope there is a book for them. Also, what was up with Megan being thrown in the story? Was there really a point to her besides making Shayne realize he loved Ashley? I just don't know, I was left feeling dissapointed and questioning too many things. It is nice that we will hear this story from Joey's POV as I was wondering if we would get that as the book went on, but I wish the next book was on Shayne and Ashley.Product details

Replace Me Kin Series Book 2 edition by Jennifer Foor Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
OMG this book really frustrated and confused me! I'm not sure why it was in Shayne's POV and not Joey's. I was confused with who to like and who to hope to get the girl. I guess it was maybe meant to do that to keep you guessing. It also made it two stories in one really! In all honesty all 3 characters really annoyed me and they all frustrated me with some of the stupid choices they made and stupid things they thought! Joey was probably the most likeable, sweet, caring and of course hot! Lacey seemed desperate for love and honestly I thought she would take it from whoever gave her a little attention! She was so back and forth and I just couldn't relate to her! Her decision making and thought process was by far the worst and I just wanted to slap her in the face while reading the whole book! Shane and Lacey felt love like they changed their underwear, she's different, he's different, I love her, now her blah blah blah I don't think either knew what true love is and honestly didn't finish the book thinking they had found it!
In saying the above I still rated 3 stars because the writing is great and the story is good, just because the characters and plot didnt appeal to me doesn't mean it won't appeal to many others! Read other reviews to get a better picture of this story! Looking forward to more from Jenn as I love all her previous works!!
Replace Me begins with Shayne trying to get Lacey back. We know from Repair Me that Shayne wasn't faithful, so that combined with Ashley's drama was the last straw for Lacey. Replace Me is told from both Shayne and Lacey's povs. From Shayne's pov we know he isn't trying all that hard to get Lacey back. That boy is a mess. He's so sloppy. All of the indiscriminate sex is gross and during one encounter he wouldn't have worn a condom if the chick he was with didn't hand him one. So yeah, sloppy.
I liked Lacey okay at first. She was heartbroken and started spending a lot of time at Sky and Ford's place. Here she meets Ford's next door neighbor, Joey, who is also Ford's cousin. He's Shayne's cousin too. Seems like a very incestuous community. Everybody between the ages of eighteen and thirty are banging each other. Anyway, Lacey and Joey begin spending time together. I liked Joey. I'm looking forward to his pov.
In the end I liked Joey and Lacey's outcome but Lacey was horrible to Joey in the meantime. Why can't these people just be single until they get their heads straight?
Shayne's outcome left me scratching my head. He was pining over Lacey in between his one-nighters then all of a sudden BAM! he's with her. And what the heck happened with poor Megan?
I don't know why I keep punishing myself but I will be reading Restore Me. C'mon Joey don't let me down.
Oh come on. I read the first book in the series, Repair Me, and while it was overly dramatic at least the writing was acceptable. After reading so many unedited books lately it's nice to read someone who knows how to spell. So, while I wasn't thrilled with the first book, I decided to give the second a chance. Quite unhappy I did. Overly dramatic doesn't even COVER the UTTER RIDICULOUSNESS of this story. This highly DESPERATE main character, Lacey, "sobs" constantly throughout the book, and I mean constantly. We're talking over the top desperate, insecure, and incredibly whiny stupid clueless girl - damn if I knew ANYONE like this chick I'd be seriously depressed! I noticed the commonality between these two books is desperate women, like they're written by a teenager who is programmed to fall "madly in love" with every idiot she meets, with the highly unbelievable fantasy thrown in that these morons fall all over her while she's constantly sobbing uncontrollably for several days straight. And she doesn't sob uncontrollably for several days straight because of a tragedy, no, it's because she doesn't know if some guy likes her. Um...wow. Just the fact someone made up this story makes we want to sob.
